*New York State DMV regulations require that all permit drivers under the age of 18 have at least 50-hours of supervised behind-the-wheel training which includes 15 hours after sunset. This must be completed before attempting a road test and receiving a valid drivers license. DMV Form MV-262 is required for the road test if the permit holder is under the age of 18.
